This site is dedicated to those grandchildren and my daughters, Lisa Marie, Laurie Ellen, Melissa Rae and Kristianna. It is designed to help preserve their heritage for future generations to see. 


This is my Great Grandfather Thomas Corriveau which would be my Grandchildrens' Great Great Great Grandfather. born St. Pauline, Quebec 02/03/1864 died 1935. On the right is Peter Joseph Carriveau, middle is Emma (De Cloux) Corriveau left is Francis Carriveau. Other children were Earl, Agnes, Jerome, Elsie, Verma and 2 unknown.

Emma (De Cloux)Corriveau, my great Grandmother born 06/15/1874 died 04/24/1957. sister and brothers were Peter, Xavier, George and Delina. Her home in Oconto burned down in 1955 and she lost everything. She died shortly there after.

Peter Joseph Carriveau, my Grandfather, born in Oconto Wisconsin 8/12/1891, died 2/20/1929 from lung disease. He married Viola Meta Wescott on 10/22/1923.   .

Peter Joseph Carriveau was an avid Duck Hunter in Oconto. He is on the left. His friend George Barribeau on the right.


He owned this hunting shack in Oconto and went there once a year with his comrades.

Peter Joseph Carriveau married Viola Meta Wescott, from Abrams Wisconsin on 10/22/1923. Viola was born 8/20/1906 and died 2/1/1977


 

Peter Joseph Carriveau (left)served in World War I.He was a Wagoner. A Wagoner is a rank slightly higher than PFC. The job of a Wagoner is a truck driver.

Milton Carriveau was my Uncle, who just recently passed away after a short battle with cancer of the lungs. He was my fathers little brother. They were very close.

Obituary:Milton "Squirrel" Carriveau, 82, of Oconto, passed away Tuesday, October 7, 2008 at the V.A. Hospital in Iron Mountain, MI. Milton was born June 18, 1926 in Abrams to the late Peter and Viola (Westcott) Carriveau. He married Umeko "Ida" in 1951. She preceded him in death on November 4, 2001. Milton served in the US Army from October of 1944 to June of 1953. Milton was member of the American Legion Post #74, Oconto Elks, and the D.A.V.
Milton is survived by a brother Roland "Chip" (Barbara) Carriveau, Oconto; a sister Lois "Tedo" Magiary, Oconto; two half sisters Doris Lipp, Oconto; Judith (Jerry) Premysl, Oconto; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by two half brothers Thomas and Lester Roberts.
